Ongoing

Green Shift: Circularity of Plastic Waste for Net-Zero Carbon Nepal (GreenShift Nepal) is funded by the European Union to promote a just transition to circular economy. The project is led by CREASION with consortium partners Restless Development and Youth Innovation Lab (YI-LAB). GreenShift Nepal works with waste enterprises, SMEs, CSOs of waste workers, youths, school children, and three tiers of government. The project builds capacity of waste enterprises to improve plastic waste collection efficiency; supports SMEs for plastic alternative products and packaging; works with school children in generating knowledge and awareness; engages youths in advocacy and awareness campaigns; and enhances government capacity for inclusive, evidence-based policies. Key components include Waste Smart Fellowship, Climate Smart Schools, National Plastic Recycling Policy, and empowering waste workers through CSOs.
