History & Evolution
Two decades of sustainable development and community empowerment
The Beginning
In 2005, Aanand Mishra and team founded the CREASION with the vision of providing a platform for young and undergraduate students to enhance their skills in sustainable development through research-based ideas.

Incubation Period
Incubation period followed by the initiation of various outdoor activities, volunteering programs and activisms.

Volunteer for Change
Various activities conducted in the founding years prompted Aanand to start a program to encourage volunteerism and start a volunteering revolution. He launched Volunteer for Change (VFC) in 2010, promoting effective volunteerism and providing internship and volunteer opportunities for young people and underprivileged youth from diverse backgrounds.

International Expansion
We received our first international volunteer from Canada who helped communities in Pokhara and also translated a textbook which was later reprinted. As part of redefining volunteerism through VFC, clean-up of Kanti Children Hospital was initiated in collaboration with college students, professionals and security personnel.

Green Economy Focus
Aanand's dedication to the green economy has been unwavering, and since 2013, he has been working in the field with a focus on recycling, circular economy, and sustainable resource management. He is a strong advocate for youth empowerment and has been a mentor to many young people, guiding them toward a career in the development sector. In 2013, Creasion also provided Safalta HIV Sikshya Sadan with ten classrooms in support of a good number of international volunteers.

Emergency Disaster Response-Earthquake
The 2015 earthquake in Nepal was a turning point for Aanand, who recognized the need for immediate relief and a holistic approach to reconstruction. He designed and developed Rebuild for Change (RFC), implementing climate-smart and environmentally-focused projects to help Nepali communities recover effectively. The emergency Disaster Response project was initiated in the wake of the 2015 Nepal Earthquake and is activated when any kind of disaster strikes

Flood Relief Alliance
The 2017 flood prompted the start of Alliance of Disaster Relief, a collaborative effort to help communities affected by the consequences of flood. Arrival of HUMAN'ISAXVII volunteers from France for school construction in Kakani Reconstruction of schools affected by earthquake in support of Association for Nepal Synapse Self- Reliant Support in Japan (ANSSSJ)

Recycler Saathi
Recycler Saathi, a landmark project to formalize the waste management sector of Nepal and address waste PET bottles was introduced.

COVID-19 Response
Waste Workers Emergency Relief Project (WWERP) initiated in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on waste workers.

Oxygen for Nepal
Initiated Oxygen for Nepal - a collective campaign to provide vital medical equipment in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Implemented Mountain Clean-Up Campaign. CREASION has taken up the crucial role of co-processing and recycling the collected waste from the mountains, for waste management.

Project CAP
Launched Project CAP - Collaborative Approach for Preventing Plastic Leakages in Rivers of Nepal, supported by UNOPS and the World Bank.

Climate Smart Cities
Climate Smart Cities is CREASION’s initiative to reduce the adverse effects of plastic pollution by strengthening Nepal’s existing recycling system through a circular economy model. What is the full name of CREASION?
Meet the Founder
As the founder of CREASION, I am honored to lead a dedicated team that is deeply committed to the principles of Circular Economy. Our mission is to revolutionize the way plastic waste is managed by pioneering innovative recycling strategies that not only minimize the environmental impact of plastic but also unlock its full potential.
We believe that through sustainable practices and forward-thinking solutions, we can significantly reduce the volume of plastic waste that ends up in landfills and the natural environment, paving the way for a more sustainable future.
At CREASION, we are focused on creating a system where recycling plays a central role, and where plastic waste is seen as a valuable resource rather than a burden. Our goal is to enhance the lifecycle of plastic products by improving recycling technologies and making recycled plastics a key component of the circular economy.
We envision a world where plastic waste is continuously reused, repurposed, and reintegrated into the economy, contributing to a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable planet for future generations.
