Congratulations to Hanumannagar Khanepani tatha Sarsafai Sanstha on its selection under the GreenShift Project and the successful completion of its CSO orientation!
The informal group from Hanumannagar Kankalini Municipality–12, Saptari, was selected from Madhesh Province to receive support to strengthen its institutional capacity and advance the rights and representation of informal waste workers.
During the orientation, 30 members gained practical knowledge on governance, legal registration, leadership, organizational management, and institutional sustainability. This marks an important step towards building a stronger Civil Society Organization that can represent waste workers, strengthen their collective voice, and contribute to community-led waste management.
The initiative was further strengthened through coordination with Hanumannagar Kankalini Municipality, where Mayor Birendra Majhi and municipal representatives reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the CSO establishment process. Their support reflects strong local ownership and collaboration for inclusive and sustainable waste management.
Congratulations to all the selected members on reaching this important milestone. Together, we are strengthening institutions, empowering waste workers, and building lasting partnerships for a cleaner and more sustainable Nepal.
