In a major step toward strengthening youth leadership and community engagement, the selection process for Youth Advocacy Groups (YAGs) under the GreenShift initiative has been successfully completed. Three youth groups-one from each of Janakpurdham Sub-Metropolitan City, Kohalpur Municipality, and Bharatpur Metropolitan City-have been selected to lead advocacy efforts on plastic waste reduction and circular economy initiatives in their respective communities.
The selection process involved a call for proposals, outreach, and orientation sessions conducted across Janakpurdham Sub-Metropolitan City, Kohalpur Municipality, and Bharatpur Metropolitan City. Interested groups were provided with guidance on the initiative’s objectives and the application process.
Submitted proposals were thoroughly examined, and a shortlist of promising groups was created. The shortlisted groups were then invited for interviews, after which one winning group from each city was selected based on their commitment, capacity, and proposed initiatives.

Through this initiative, GreenShift is fostering young leaders who will champion circular economy solutions and promote environmental sustainability in their communities.
