Tilottama, 24 July, 2026: Shree Shankarnagar Durgadatta Secondary School organized an environmental training programme for its Eco Club members as part of the Green Shift project, aimed at strengthening students' knowledge and skills in environmental conservation and climate change response.
The training covered climate change, biodiversity conservation, waste management systems, tree plantation and other sustainable environmental practices. Eco Club members took part in interactive sessions designed to teach practical, everyday ways to protect the environment.
The principal, the school's Climate Smart School focal teacher and other distinguished guests addressed participants during the programme, stressing the importance of environmental stewardship and encouraging students to take on leadership roles in building a greener, more sustainable future. The sessions were facilitated by Climate Smart School focal teacher Krishna Prasad Panthi and environment expert Madhav Prasad Kandel.
School organizers said the programme reinforced the institution's broader commitment to sustainable development through the active engagement and participation of its Eco Club students.
