CREASION strengthens local communities to respond to climate risks by supporting climate-smart agriculture, improving water management, and promoting disaster preparedness, while building the capacity of youth and community leaders to drive sustainable action. It promotes low-carbon and circular solutions by encouraging renewable energy, energy efficiency, and circular economy practices that reduce emissions and foster sustainable consumption. Through climate education and awareness programs, CREASION equips communities and schools with knowledge and tools to understand climate impacts and take meaningful action. Finally, it supports policy advocacy and collaboration by strengthening partnerships with governments, NGOs, and the private sector and facilitating platforms for sharing innovative solutions and best practices.
The last decade (2011–2020) was the warmest on record. Sea levels are rising at 3.6 mm per year and the Arctic is warming twice as fast as the global average!
Nepal is particularly vulnerable to climate change impacts - from glacial lake outburst floods and erratic monsoons to shifting agricultural seasons. Communities in mountain and hill regions are already experiencing these changes firsthand. Urgent local action, backed by global commitment, is essential.

Low-Carbon & Circular Solutions
CREASION promotes renewable energy, energy efficiency, and low-carbon technologies while integrating circular economy practices to reduce emissions from waste and resource use. It also encourages sustainable production and consumption patterns, supporting communities and businesses in adopting environmentally responsible solutions that minimize their carbon footprint.
Climate Education & Awareness
CREASION raises understanding of climate change impacts and solutions through workshops, campaigns, and educational programs in schools and communities. Policy Advocacy & Collaboration
CREASION supports evidence-based climate policies at local and national levels while fostering partnerships with governments, NGOs, and the private sector. Theory of Change
Our climate change strategy centers on building adaptive capacity at the community level while simultaneously engaging policy systems at local and national scales. We believe that lasting change requires both bottom-up action and top-down enablement working in sync.
In the short term, we focus on climate literacy, vulnerability assessments, and piloting adaptation measures in at-risk communities. In the medium term, these pilots inform replicable models and evidence-based advocacy that can shift institutional behavior and resource allocation.
Our long-term vision is a Nepal where communities are climate-resilient, ecosystems are protected, and local governments are equipped to lead their own climate action plans — reducing vulnerability while unlocking new opportunities in the green economy.
