RESEARCH AND KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT MANAGER
Pratik Bajracharya is the Research and Knowledge Management Manager at CREASION. He is responsible for generating research, knowledge and innovation in the field of environment. He is involved in data management, proposal development, and raising resources for the organization. He has contributed to several researches in the field of environment and is the lead author on Waste Pickers Research in Nepal. Prior to joining CREASION, he has experience of working for several organizations including International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD), Swiss contact Nepal, Nepal Energy and Environment Development Service (NEEDS), Department of Environment (DOEnv), and Kathmandu College of Technology (KCT). He holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Science from Tribhuvan University, Nepal. In addition to research, he also has hands on experience in teaching GIS.
Operations Manager
Man Bahadur Shrestha is an experienced Administrative and Logistics Personnel with a demonstrated history of working in the private sector and also in the development field. His skills in operations management with International Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), Genese Solution Pvt. Ltd and TOYOTA Nepal brings in his rich knowledge in developing Administrative policies and its implementation, Safety and security compliance, Procurement functions, Service Management and Training and Development functions. He has also served in the Population Movement Operation in Bangladesh as a member of the Regional Disaster Response Team for IFRC (RDRT). His diverse experience in development works and private firm brings in the ideas and innovation to excel in operations management for CREASION. He has earned a Masters in Business Administration, specialized in Supply Chain Management from Westcliff University, USA. Also, he is pursuing his Masters Degree in Sustainable Development from Kathmandu University.
Procurement, Compliance and Documentation Manager
Ms. Jyotsana Thapa holds a Master’s degree in Economics from Kumaun University in Nainital, India, and brings over 20 years of extensive experience in procurement, administration, logistics, fleet management, travel and event coordination, as well as asset and inventory management. Her expertise includes strategic planning, strategic sourcing, vendor management, negotiation, contract management, cost analysis, and documentation & archiving. Ms. Thapa has worked with prominent organizations such as Save the Children International, Lutheran World Federation, and the Nepal National Social Welfare Association (NNSWA) in Kanchanpur. She has also managed multi-donor funded programs including US-based funds, DFID, ECHO, Australian Aid (SIDA), JICA, KOICA, USAID, DanChurch Aid, Diakonie Katastrophenhilfe, Islamic Relief Fund, and UNHCR.
SENIOR FINANCE OFFICER
Shyam Subedi is the Senior Finance and Administrative Officer whose core interest lies in finances and the economy. He has been working in the development sector for more than a decade. He is an alumni of Nepal Mega College where he studied Masters in Business Studies. He is an enthusiastic learner and has a passion in mathematics. Besides, having an interest in the financial sector, he is an adventure lover who loves to hike and do various outdoor activities.
TEAM LEAD, PROJECT CAP
Mr Ujjwal Upadhyay is a prominently skilled expert, manager, director and trainer working in the field of climate change impact, adaptation and mitigation, environment impact assessment, disaster risk reduction, sustainable development, circular economy, conservation, livelihood, transboundary water resources management, and education. Ujjwal has substantially devoted his career in sustainable development in an international context, focusing on development issues linked to environmental risk mitigation, climate adaptation, water management, landscapes, conservation and the society, including how communities can sustainably manage natural resources while working for increased resilience amid many environmental challenges. Having worked with various international organizations like ICIMOD, WWF, OXFAM, USAID, UNDP, UNEP, CICERO, VSO, ADB, Dan Church Aid, Finn Church Aid, Konrad Adenauer Stiftung,(KAS), RESTLESS DEVELOPMENT, The World Bank along with various international universities in Japan, Thailand, Europe and US including government organizations, Ujjwal has contributed to numerous policies and projects and have also published research papers and articles in prominent journals and books of international standards. Also, Mr Upadhyay is a prominent visiting lecturer cum research mentor in Kathmandu University, Tribhuvan University, Pokhara University, Lumbini Buddhist University in Nepal and Waseda University, in Japan, where he deals with the subjects of his aforementioned interests. Mr Upadhyay has been working in CREASION since March 2024 as Team Leader of the Project Collaborative Approach for Preventing Plastic Leakages in Rivers of Nepal (CAP) funded by the World Bank and Parley.
PROJECT LEAD, GREENSHIFT NEPAL
Mr. Yunish Ghimire works as a Project Lead of Project Green Shift Nepal at CREASION. He holds a Master's degree in Human and Natural Resources Studies from Kathmandu University (KU). He did his undergraduate from Colby-Sawyer College in New Hampshire, USA. Previously, he worked with CESIF as a researcher in the thematic area of 'National Security and Climate Change'. He enjoys writing and has published his articles on different national and international media platforms. He is passionate about climate justice issues as well.
PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT OFFICER
Heemani, a dedicated and passionate individual, serves as the Program Development Officer at CREASION. Holding a Ph.D. in Development Studies from Dela Salle University, Manila, her commitment to sustainable development, climate change, and empowerment has been a driving force throughout her career. Heemani's academic pursuits culminated a noteworthy dissertation focusing on collective action and women's empowerment, showcasing her deep interest in fostering positive change and inclusivity. Additionally, her love for travel serves as a source of inspiration, allowing her to explore diverse cultures and gain insights that enrich her understanding of global issues.
MERL Specialist
Ms. Larisha serves as a Monitoring, Evaluation, Research, and Learning (MERL) Officer at CREASION, spearheading efforts to establish an efficient MERL system for projects led by CREASION. She holds a Master’s Degree in Urban Economic Development from University College London, where she acquired theoretical knowledge and practical approaches related to fostering productive, sustainable, and inclusive urban and local economies. Her dissertation delved into the assessment of the effectiveness of Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) for solid waste management in Kathmandu Metropolis, employing an institutional lens. Previously, she worked as an economic consultant at Metro Dynamics, contributing to various projects centred around local economic development and inclusive growth in the UK. Furthermore, she has been involved in initiatives supporting innovation in Nepal, such as the Nepal Innovation Challenge - AgriTech by UNCDF, NEXT Launchpad, and Udhyami Seedcamp.
GESI and Safeguarding Specialist
Manisha Bhattarai is a passionate development professional with 14 years of experience in various development projects. Skilled in GESI and M&E, with teaching and training experience, she is dedicated to environmental issues. She excels in Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning across diverse projects like DRR, public health, livelihood and social awareness.
Communications Specialist
Bhushita is the Communications Specialist at CREASION. She is a Fulbright scholar with over fifteen years of experience in publishing and strategic communications. She has been a communications expert/ consultant for Nepal Investment Bank Limited, the University of Copenhagen, the BBC, ILO, Nepal Folklore Society, and Salesberry Supermarket. She is also one of the first woman editors to lead the major publication house in Nepal. She has solicited, edited, and published over twenty books. During her two-year Fulbright residency in California, she worked as the fiction editor and copyediting chief for the Reed magazine, a multiple award-winning Californian literary journal, getting an intimate insight into the optics and operatives of the American publishing and communications landscape. Her articles and stories are published in various national and international papers and journals. She is also a literary activist who works to digitize and archive Chhanda Kavita.
Factory Manager
After graduating with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from KIIT University Bhubaneswar, India, in 2012, Mr. Mishra began his career as a Trainee Engineer at Sriram Sugar Mills. He then moved on to work as an Officer in Engineering at Asian Paints Nepal. Currently, he serves as an Assistant Manager (GME) at Chaudhary Group Nepal Ltd in Nawalpur.
Over his career, he has gained expertise in the field of maintenance, project management, installation and commissioning, engineering design softwares, manufacturing excellence, auditing, and the preparation and implementation of reports and guidelines.
FINANCE OFFICER
Pratibha Mishra is the Finance officer at CREASION with an experience in the finance sector for more than a decade in Nepal and India. She is currently also pursuing Chartered Accountancy course. Additionally, she loves doing Yoga and is also a certified Yoga Instructor. She loves nature and is highly interested in adventurous activities.
MERL Officer
Dikshya Dhakal is an accomplished Environmental Engineer with a solid background in environmental safeguard and monitoring and evaluation of a project. She holds a Master of Science in Engineering and Technology from the Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology, Thailand, and a Bachelor of Technology in Environmental Engineering from Kathmandu University, Nepal.
Previously, She was employed as an Environmental Engineer at Environment Resource Management Consultant under the Kathmandu Valley Wastewater Management Project, supported by ADB. She was responsible for reviewing and preparing progress reports, monitoring project sites, conducting training sessions on environmental and occupational health and safety measures.
As a MERL Officer, she is committed to leveraging her expertise in monitoring, evaluation, research, and learning to support the objectives of the GreenShift project.
Finance Officer
Laxman Raj Pandey has wide experience in the finance sector working with different NGOs and INGOs in Nepal. He is dedicated to leveraging his financial management expertise to ensure the transparent, efficient, and compliant use of multi-donor funds. His commitment to financial integrity and support for program teams drives the mission forward, fostering impactful and sustainable development initiatives.
In addition to his professional role, Mr.Pandey has extensive experience in yoga and meditation and serves as a yoga teacher with the Patanjali Yoga Samiti in Nepal. He is also active in social work, holding life memberships with the Nepal Red Cross Society, and the Community Service Center (Community Police).
Environment Safeguarding Officer
Ms. Lila is a dedicated environment professional. With a Master's degree in Environmental Science from Tribhuvan University and over four years of experience in project planning, management, and implementation, she brings a wealth of expertise to her role. She specializes in conducting environmental assessments and feasibility studies for various developmental projects, including hydropower, recreational projects, and transmission lines. She has experience working with and handling the projects of USAID, the National Geographic Society, Kindermissionswer, and Taksvarrki Finland. Her work promotes renewable energy and climate-smart project strategies through green investment and financing. With strong advocacy for green and climate financing, Lila is committed to enhancing financial support for micro-entrepreneurs through various ecosystems and mechanism developments. She is dedicated to grassroots empowerment and capacity building, particularly in rural communities.
Outside her professional commitments, she enjoys reading novels, hiking, trekking, and exploring different cuisines. Deeply devoted to wildlife and environmental conservation, she thrives on being close to nature.
INNOVATION COORDINATOR
Agrima is the Innovation Coordinator at CREASION for the Climate Smart Entrepreneurship project. A fellow from the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership, her interests lie in research around climate justice issues, resource management and policies regarding transition to renewable energy in South Asia. She is passionate about sustainability advocacy, working with youth at the grassroot level and believes that it is imperative for young people to be at the forefront to drive systemic changes.
IT and Design Head
As a Creative Designer, Milan's 7-year career has been a blend of creativity and tech, currently leading IT and design for CREASION. Milan has completed his Bachelors in Computer Science and Information Technology degree, focusing on applying what he has learnt to practical challenges.Beyond graphic design, He is also the founder and CEO of a digital marketing firm, where he develops unique marketing and SEO strategies. His goal is to create memorable designs and digital experiences that not only capture attention but also deliver meaningful messages.
Environment Officer
Ms. Salina Joshi is devoted to protecting the environment and promoting sustainable practices. She has two years of practical expertise in environmental safeguarding and compliance. She puts forth endless effort to spark positive change both inside and outside of her community. Ms. Joshi is prepared to take on environmental challenges head-on and significantly contribute to CREASION's main objective of promoting environmental stewardship and resilience in Nepal. She completed a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science and a Master's degree in running- fourth semester.
Training and Capacity Building Officer
Palistha serves as a Project Associate for Project CAP (Collaborative Approach for Preventing Plastic Leakages in Rivers). She holds a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering from Kathmandu University. She is deeply committed to environmental sustainability and impactful green projects. She has worked across diverse aspects of health and climate initiatives, and has actively contributed to projects in waste management, WASH, and climate change. Currently, she is pursuing MBA to enhance her technical skills with a management perspective, reflecting a dedication to comprehensive project leadership.
Finance Associate
Mr. Poshan Gyawali has been in the field of finance, administration, and operations for more than five years in multiple industries.
Besides this, he is also the President of the Rotaract Club of Pashupati Kathmandu for the year 2021-22. He has been involved in numerous social development projects in different rural communities of the country.
He loves traveling and is always in search of stories from places and people.

Ms. Priyashma Shrestha is a final-year student of Bachelors in Development Studies. She has worked as a research fellow at Vrikshya Foundation on open urban spaces and contributed to a World Bank project assessing drone capacity in Nepal. Priyashma is dedicated to leveraging technology to revitalize the environment and improve quality of life for all.

Sapana Sharma is a masters graduate in environmental science from Tribhuvan University.Recently, she has been engaged with her research paper on e- waste management. She has prior experience in research, teaching, field assistant and volunteering for different NGOs. With her passion and interest towards the field of environment sustainability and waste management she has been executing her interest in this field through various involvements.
PROJECT ASSOCIATE
Passionate about preserving and safeguarding precious natural resources, Mahendra Prasad Uprety is a Project Associate at CREASION Nepal for Green Shift Nepal Project. With a strong foundation in Environmental Science since undergraduate, he has specialization in Water Resource Management. He has been a Clean Air Ambassador during the "I Care for Clean Air Campaign", organized by Clean Energy Nepal (CEN) in partnership with the GO Philanthropic Foundation. During his working career, he worked as a Research Assistant, Technical and Field Assistant for different organizations. Mahendra possesses comprehensive knowledge of Initial Environmental Examination (IEE) and Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) mainly for hydropower projects. These diverse experiences, both in office settings and in the field, have enriched his professional journey, broadening his understanding of environmental work. Besides these, he is a passionate researcher committed to positively impacting environmental protection and sustainability. Through his work, he strives to contribute to a greener, healthier future for generations to come

Ms. Sahista Thapa holds a graduate degree and has successfully completed a master's program in Environmental Science with a specialization in Climate Change and Resilience, Environmental Hazards, Disaster Risk Reduction, and the study of Mountains and Plains. She is dedicated to environmental protection and passionate about engaging and educating young children, promoting environmental education within schools.
Program Development Associate
Aagya is a Geomatics engineer, dedicated to contributing her knowledge in the field of protecting the environment from the problems associated with climate change. She feels most alive around nature, wetlands and forest so she wants to mostly dedicate her work to its protection and building resilience. She has experience in research projects, has worked in non-profit organizations through which she has understood the importance giving back to the community and collaborating to achieve a greater impact. When She's not working, you'll find her hitting the trails for a run or hike. Fresh air and misty hills – that's her happy place. And the learning doesn't stop when the workday ends. She loves exploring podcasts and online resources as she walks, learning new things.
FRONT DESK ASSISTANT
Ms. Mariyam Shakya brings five years of diverse experience spanning banking and finance, administration, logistics, and procurement across various organizations. Mariyam has worked for Guheswori Merchant Banking and Finance Ltd., in different departments and branches, including a leading role in General Service Department. Earlier in her career, she served as a front desk assistant at Pay Nep Pvt. Ltd. Her professional journey also includes internships at Citizens Bank International Ltd. and Rajdhani Saving and Credit Cooperative Ltd. Mariyam holds a Master of Business Administrations. She also got an opportunity to actively participate in an interaction program hosted by Nepal Rastra Bank. Beyond her professional achievements, Mariyam possesses additional skills such as sewing, marketing her products locally.
Additionally, Mariyam embraces Yoga and Vipassana meditation practices. She also has a deep passion for hiking and photography, especially capturing landscapes, and she eagerly explores new destinations to indulge these interests.
