On June 3rd, 2024, 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐱𝐡𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐧 𝐖𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐢𝐫𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐄𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐲 was jointly Organized by Solid Waste Management Consortium - SWMC , Society of Environmental Engineers of Nepal (SEEN), CREASION, Solid Waste Management Association of Nepal (SWMAN), Green Decision Labs & Research, and Nepal Academy of Science and Technology (NAST).
The event inauguration was graced by the Honorable Minister of Federal Affairs and General Administration of Nepal, Bhanu Bhakta Joshi.
This National Conference brought together experts from diverse fields into one platform to discuss on the issues of waste management in Nepal and the roles of different agencies in this sector.
The event held two very interesting panel discussions on ‘𝐈𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐁𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐖𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭’ where the panelists were: 1)Anu Joshi Shrestha, Enterprise and value chain development specialist, ICIMOD
