To expand support outside Kathmandu, Oxygen for Nepal has officially started its chapter in Province 2. The operation in Province 2 is handled by Ramji Ram, a final year medical student. To initiate the operation, the team members have been conducting a door-to-door survey in various municipalities.
The health status of the family members as well as their awareness level about COVID-19 has been recorded. Contact tracing in over 3100 households have also been completed in Province 2. The team also provides medical consultation to households and individuals suffering from general symptoms of COVID-19.
In addition, many communities have also been assisted with food rations. The food rations are expected to help them sustain their livelihood during the pandemic.
